Ceres Yung is an artist-on-the-go and conservator currently based in Wales. She has a background in game development and entertainment design and a future in conservation and archaeology. When she’s not making art or digging up sites and sitting behind lab equipment, she’s running around going through various archives and researching the polar and maritime history of Wales.
Her work is largely influenced by the Golden Age of Illustration, and her interests are in digital art and oil painting and pastel work, though she may be persuaded to try gouache and watercolours.
She is the Art Director of the New Polar Times. Her work is involved with the University of Oxford and the Shackleton Autumn School, Athy.
Ceres’ journey in art and conservation has taken her across the world from Hong Kong to Singapore to the UK, and she has dreams of going on an artists’ residence to the polar regions someday.
