Clachnaben

The image is inspired by a daytime moon observation right above the summit of Clachnaben. Very little imagination is required for this well known hill in Aberdeenshire to appear rather extraterrestrial. This work forms part of a collection of prints influenced by the travel writing and illustrations of the celebrated American artist Rockwell Kent, as well as by reflections on the insignificance of the human being in the face of the power and age of nature.
