I can taste the salt in the air as the sea breeze sweeps the calling gulls across the bay. Turquoise waves churn the sand and seaweed, catching the light as they tumble onto the rocks. I scrunch sand between my toes as I sketch on the west coast of Harris in the Outer Hebrides. I'm based at Bovemor Arts on residency for five weeks, spending my days capturing the summer light and wild weather.
