Soft Wave, Gentle Light

I hiked from the croft through the drizzle until the weather cleared for a moment. The sun slowly sank towards the horizon turning the light soft and muted. Little waves lapped at the rocks as midges flittered through the air, nibbling on paper and skin. The tide came and went, flooding rockpools and and tugging gently at sand and seaweed as the gulls swoop overhead. From Borvemor Arts Residency, Isle of Harris. Summer 2025
