Wee Beach II - Scarista, Isle of Harris

The sun is swiftly setting and the rain is settling in for the evening. The oil paints are out as my watercolours were washing off the page. The waves roll and churn before me, the tide rushing in. I shuffle onto the rocks as the burn behind me busts it banks and rushes down the sand out to sea. I'm based on the Isle of Harris on residency at Borvemor Arts for five weeks, spending my days sketching and painting the wild weather and everchanging light.

Oil and pencil on paper. This artwork is unframed and measures 14x19cm. It will be shipped directly from the artist's studio in Scotland.
